When it comes to taking care of your skin, few things are more important than using good-quality products to inject moisture and keep the skin soft and supple. A good body oil, such as Rose Glow CBD Body Oil, can be a good option.

While applying body oil is not complicated, there is a right and wrong way to apply it to get the most from the product itself and get the most benefits from using the product on your skin. So, learning how to apply body oil without making a mess or exactly how to apply body oil after a shower can be beneficial.

How to Apply Body Oil

The general process for applying body oil is:

  1. Cleanse your skin
  2. Apply a few drops to your fingers
  3. Rub the oil into your skin in a circular motion

Of course, there are a few ways to get the most out of using body oil. For example, you can use the oil after a hot bath or shower, apply it directly to your body to prevent razor burn, or even just add a few drops to your bath.

Body Oil Application FAQs

Do you apply body oil before or after lotion?

In general, creams go before oils when it comes to moisturizing. Creamy lotions contain more water and dissipate faster, so if you apply oil first, the lotion likely won’t even absorb into the skin. In most cases, it is best to skip the lotion if using oil, especially if you have oil that contains CBD because you don’t want anything impeding the CBD’s path through the skin.

Can you apply body oil on your face?

It depends. Some products are made with oils that absorb well and do not clog pores and some are not. For example, products with MCT oil are not always the best option for use on the face because MCT oil does not absorb readily into the pores. The facial skin can be a little more sensitive than the skin on the rest of your body and more prone to acne. So, before using body oil on your face, make sure it is good for facial use by looking at the ingredients.

How to apply body oil after a shower?

Once you step out of the shower, while your skin is actually still damp with water, go ahead and rub the oil into the skin. Post-shower oiling is actually even better because the warm water will have opened your pores to encourage the oil to absorb.

Try Body Oil with CBD for the Most Profound Effects

CBD can be especially good for the skin, and well-made body oil can be a good way to give your skin the cannabinoid that may help soothe irritation, rejuvenate, and keep the skin supple.
